Kiwi Adventures: Rotorua & Taupo

Friday, 29 January 2016

Back again! I'm getting these posts up everytime I have wifi so are not in real time by any stretch!
So Rotorua was the first place that I hopped off the bus and  stayed longer than everyone else, it was sad to say goodbye to my first bus but now that I've had a few different buses familiar faces are cropping up all over the place.

My Netflix Top Five TV Shows!

Thursday, 28 January 2016

Being on a Gap Year and doing nothing but working for the past four and a half months when most of my friends are at uni or college means I have watched A LOT of Netflix! So I thought I'd do a round up of my favourite shows in case anyone needs inspiration.
1) Pretty Little Liars

This show is now in it's Sixth season and from someone who has been watching it since maybe the second I can fully say that it does not get boring at all! There is constantly new dramas and finding out who A is, well, it took it's time! For the fashion lovers amongst you, the girls wear some amazing outfits on every episode - of course it does go the other way too sometimes but we all have out bad days. It also can't hurt that there is definitely some eye candy throughout the series in the form of the Liars' boyfriends.
2) Shadowhunuters

This is a very very new addition to the list as it only started a few weeks ago but having read the books and seen the film (which I did like but wasn't perfect) I can tell that I will be hooked on this! The actors are so good and with some new faces making appearances - the only two I knew were Dominic Sherwood and Harry Shum Jr! - I am excited for the rest of the series.

3)How to Get Away with Murder

I was initially drawn to this show because of Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas in Harry Potter). But I stayed because of the gripping story line and the amazing cast headed by Viloa Davis, who I didn't even recognise from The Help! But I am so ready for Season 2 to make an appearance on Netflix.

4) Brooklyn Nine-Nine

So I started watching this off and on on E4 but then when I saw it on Netflix I decided to watch it in order and I am addicted. It is such a weirdly funny show with such a mix of characters. It's like a mockery of CSI and I love CSI so it's a bit of a change for me. But so so funny!

5) AKA Jessica Jones

This show is another cog in the big Marvel machine that supposedly links up with the whole cinematic universe, which I am yet to see, but is still very good in it's own right! David Tennant has taken on the role of the bad guy and it's just great. A female protagonist who fights crime is just what Marvel needs.

Kiwi Adventures: Hobbiton Set Tour

Wednesday, 27 January 2016

A highlight of my New Zealand trip so far has to be the Hobbiton Set Tour because how can it not be? It's like how people come to England for Harry Potter sets but for Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit over here.
I have to admit I had only seen the first Hobbit movie before visiting the set so I couldn't always get references or wasn't as excited as maybe I would have been but it was a really cool experience either way!

Kiwi Adventures: Auckland & Hot Water Beach & Waitomo

Sunday, 24 January 2016

I've finally got a bit of time (and wifi!) to do a little update as to what I've been doing for the last few days since arriving in New Zealand.

I landed in Auckland about mid evening as all my flights were delayed and, after I managed to find some dinner, I went back to my hostel to sleep and was a bit unnerved at how unsociable my röoom was! I was suddenly questioning what the hell I was doing.

and so the adventure begins...

Saturday, 16 January 2016

Today is the day that I set off travelling, on my own, for One Hundred and Three Days.

I'm so excited and nervous and scared all at the same time that I can't work out what to do with myself. I'm packed and hopefully I've remembered all the important things because remembering everything would be a miracle!

I've probably just go to the airport at the moment - oh the joys of scheduling!

What I Got For Christmas! | 2015

Sunday, 10 January 2016

This post is a little later than I had planned but I just wasn't home during decent daylight hours to take photos - oh the joy of working in retail! Quite a few things I got were for either Uni or travelling but a few things were a massive surprise and I just love it all!

Review | First BohoMoon Order!

Thursday, 7 January 2016

I was so excited to receive this delivery as I found this store through Twitter and didn't quite know what to expect but I am so unbelievably happy with what came! I was initially going to just buy a couple of rings on their own but then I decided to take full advantage of their Christmas offer and treat myself to one of their Goodie Bags that they put together!

My 2015 on Instagram

Sunday, 3 January 2016

This year is a busy one for me what with all the travelling I've got booked and then starting university in September but first I thought I'd take a look back on 2015 using my Instagram account! It's a good way to look back at what you did when and with who with minimum effort.

In the past year I've finished school, traveled lots, started working full time and had loads of fun with some great people.
